Lago Nambino
One of the classic walks, just a 2-hour hike starting from the top of Run 3.
Summary of the route
This is one of the most traditional hikes, as it takes place in the immediate vicinity of the village of Madonna di Campiglio and takes just two hours. As it is easy, it is also suitable for families with children.
The start: we set off from the finish line of the legendary 3-tre
This walk, suitable for everyone, begins by heading up from the top station of the 3-tre World Cup run (1,550 m). After a 15-minute walk to the Nambino plain, take path no. 217 near the Zangola (Nambino mountain hut).
Steps and small waterfalls
Path 217 starts as a narrow forest track leading up to the cable car at the mountain hut, but after a few minutes it begins to climb up rocky steps alongside a series of small waterfalls.
In the background stand the two great peaks of Tosa and Crozzon, and after a 20-minute climb you reach a gentle basin at 1,770 metres, where the Lago di Nambino lies. Here, on the southern shore, stands the cosy refuge of the same name.
The return route follows your outward path and takes about another 50 minutes.
